Sociology in the Navajo Nation- Summer I

The Sociology department if offering a Global Service Learning opportunity for students to travel to the Navajo reservation during Summer I.


IUP is working with Amizade, a Pittsburgh-based Global Service Learning organization, to give
students a chance to learn about Navajo culture, build relationships, and perform community-driven service for 17 days in Crownpoint, NM, at the eastern edge of the Navajo Nation.

Information sessions will be held on Monday, October 29 at 3:30pm in 102 Keith and Tuesday, October 39 at 6pm in 205 McElhaney. Or contact Dr. Melanie Hildebrandt (melanieh@iup.edu)

The program is open to undergraduate and Masters level students.
