Student Recovering from Accident Needs Immediate Ambulatory Assistance

Disability Services got a call last week from a student who was injured in an automobile
accident over the break, and will be returning to campus this spring needing
to temporarily use an electric mobility scooter. Her off-campus apartment is
very close to campus (apparently just across the street from Stright Hall).
She should be able to get to and around campus OK with the
scooter….however, there are apparently a couple steps she’ll need to

ambulate in order to get into and out of her apartment. She’s looking for a
volunteer(s) who might simply be able to meet her before and after class to
assist her with ambulating the stairs.

Below are the windows of time she needs assistance.  Please email me immediately at kevinb@iup.edu if you are able to help.

On Mon & Wed, she has 8am
classes. Her last class on Mon & Wed ends at
3:20pm

On Tues &
Thurs, has 9:30am classes. Her last class on Tues ends 12:15pm,
and her last
class on Thurs ends at 2:15pm.
