Back in April, hip-hop superstar Drake, teased us with a photo of himself via Instagram wearing a black bomber jacket that read ‘Scorpion’ across the back and also had a image of a  diamond-encrusted scorpion necklace, and a few weeks later it was confirmed that ‘Scorpion’ would in-fact be the title of the album. As of this morning it has been confirmed he will be releasing the album on June 29th. This will be Drakes fifth studio album but this time he’s not the hottest topic. As its coming on the heels of Kanye West’s new album titled “Ye” which is currently number one album right now, not to mention his beef with Pusha T was basically yesterday and is considerably still not over. A lot of people including myself, are shocked and disappointed that Drake didn’t fire back at Pusha after her dropped his diss track “The Story of Adidon”, and can only hope that Drizzy will address the allegations that Pusha T made on that record. Drake has never been in a position like this in his career before. When he had his beef with Meek Mill he was easily victorious. Nobody would say anything about his, until Pusha sent shots at him on his newest album with the song ‘Infrared’. That same night though Drake came back with the ‘Duppy freestyle’ and for a minute it seemed like he was again the winner but that’s not quite the case now. That Pusha diss was really bad and Drake has a lot to address and if he doesn’t do it on the album I don’t know how much that would tarnish his legacy. Summer has belonged to Drake for the past four years but this album ‘Scorpion’ can be a game changer. For better or for worse.
