‘Drake’ has solidified himself as one of the all-time greats when music is the discussion. Along side ‘Chris Brown’, he just might be the greatest artist of this generation hands down. He has proven to be consistent throughout the years and most of all he has shown resiliency when it has matter the most. When he dropped the mixtape “If Your Reading This Its Too Late” it was exposed that he has a ton of wiring help on that project. When that came out everyone started to question his greatness. And what did he do? He release the album “Views” and went platinum on the music charts. This beef with ‘Pusha T’ was no different. He was one again tested. His skills were tested. His pride was tested. And so was his manhood. Again, what did he do? Prove his resilience and demand his respect. This album is a classic already and it hasn’t even been twenty-four hours yet. The album which was double-sided, had a total of twenty-five songs which are all now on the top 100 billboard charts sitting in slots one through twenty-five. This has never been done before in the history of rap. This album ‘Scorpion’ put a nail in every coffin. There is no more need for speculation on any situation that ‘Drake’ has publicly been in because he spoke truth on this album. And as far as him being a father now, it’s true. However, in his own words ‘Drake’ addresses the question … “Look at the way we live… I wasn’t hidin’ my kid from the world, I was hidin’ the world from my kid.” I think that it is safe to say that his throne is still untouched and he is the prime example of hip-hop royalty. If you want to last in this game you have to be resilient. Most of all you have to rap. Gimmicks wont last. I’m sure the people would like to leave their two cents on the matter as well, so do send this thread and circulate the CURRENT-cy.
