Focus

Lockdown started mid march which meant that no one was allowed to leave their house except for essential needs. This meant the grocery store for my family. I could have very easily shut down these couple months and sat on the couch snacking all day. There was actually a joke that many of you have seen about gaining the quarantine 19 meaning 19 pounds (or more!!). I was serious about focusing on myself and eating the right things, doing the most to better myself. I do struggle with anxiety so by working out I was able to release endorphins that allowed for positive thoughts.

As the months passed I was running, walking with my dogs, lifting, and working on my basketball skills. Looking back I remember wearing sweat shirts and pants working out while it was freezing rain outside. As the months passed the weather changed and so did my body. I was lifting more than I ever have and I was running at a pace that I felt comfortable and confident. I had discovered the power of working out and all the wonderful things it does for you. I felt so good with the new changes in myself that today I look forward to working out everyday. I saw changes and even had compliments from people that just made me feel like my hard work was paying off. Did you have some of the same results?
