So you want a sensible and effective strategy for being
admitted to a top tier graduate program but fear you may not be completely
prepared. Perhaps you are looking for a job in a tight market, or maybe you
just don’t want to end up living in your parents’ basement? Then you need to
plan to attend the 2012 CHC/McNair Career Workshop on May 14-16 (9-4:30 pm)
with Donald Asher.
Graduate school applicants who attend this program wind up
early decision applications for schools in September and October, whereas
non-participants don’t get going until much later, even as late as February.
Graduates who attend get into top 10 law schools without a top 10 LSAT scores
because of early applications and knowing what to do. Teachers have gotten jobs
in competitive districts because of something they learned in this workshop.
Medical school applicants realize that the summer prior to their senior year is
optimal for competitive programs. Every year those who attend tell us that they
can’t believe they even considered not coming.
Though you may be a little burned out from the spring semester and finals,
prior attendees said that an August workshop was almost too late to implement
all of the things they learned. We agree, and believe you’ll be better served
by doing the workshop in May if you can hang on for a few more days prior to
summer.
Why Attend? Quotes from former attendees:
“This was the most beneficial seminar on grad school, career paths and
simply learning to have confidence in my abilities. Everyone should definitely
attend. All will benefit! (Any major; Any grad plans!)”
“Before this workshop I was undecided about whether or not to go to grad
school. Now I’ve decided it would be an excellent Idea.”
“Any senior who does not attend this workshop is planning to not be
successful later in life.”
“It’s a hundred times more useful than you can imagine”
“This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to go to your next step in
live for FREE and ahead of the curve.”
“This is NOT only for students pursuing Ph.D.s, but for all students
interested in having a career.”
“Juniors should seriously consider attending as well. Some of this
information is almost too late for me to effectively put into action.
Yikes!”
