For more than 20 years, the Carter Center
Internship Program has provided more than 2,000 interns with a rewarding
complement to classroom experience, enhancing participants’ educations
and careers in the field of public service.
Carter Center interns come from around the world
and make vital contributions to the Center’s work. In turn, the Center
provides a substantive learning experience that serves as a basis for
interns to explore their career options and to attain professional
skills. The goal of the Internship Program is to develop an informed and
skilled work force committed to advancing peace and health worldwide.

Peace Programs
The Carter Center’s peace programs strengthen freedom and democracy in nations worldwide, securing for people the political and civil rights that are the foundation of just and peaceful societies.
