CFHI Global Health/Medical Internships- 1 Month Left to Apply for January-May Scholarships
Child Family Health International www.cfhi.org , provides global health immersion programs for those pursuing fields related to health or medicine.
CFHI Participants:
- Go on 1-3 month placements with physicians in developing countries
- Rotate through local clinics and hospitals
- Attend medical lectures
- Live with homestay families
- Take Spanish classes (Latin America programs)
- Become immersed in the healthcare system of the local community
To date, CFHI has sent over 6,000 students including pre-meds, med students, dental students, physician assistant, medical anthropology students, and more on its programs to 20+ sites throughout Bolivia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, and South Africa.
CFHI offers programs each month of the year and spots are filling up for 2011. Alternate dates are also available. Scholarships of $500 each are available for any January-May program:
