CFHI is excited to announce its 20+ Global Health Education Programs are now open to applications for 2012 dates.
What is CFHI?
Child Family Health
International www.cfhi.org, is the leading nonprofit providing educational
Global Health Programs that allow participants to build skills and insight
working alongside local physicians and public health experts in developing
countries.
CFHI has been around for almost 20 years and is one of the few
organizations out there focusing solely on health-related programs. As a
nonprofit, CFHI structures its programs so funds and resources are funneled
back into local communities, resulting in a sustainable and socially
responsible program model. CFHI is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with
the ECOSOC of the United Nations.
What are CFHI Programs?
Through CFHI participants go on 1 to 3
month placements with physicians in developing countries working in underserved
communities. Participants rotate
through local clinics and hospitals, attend medical lectures, and become
immersed in the healthcare system of the community. CFHI has 20+ sites throughout Bolivia,
Ecuador, India, Mexico, and South Africa.
CFHI encourages applying early as all
applications are processed on a rolling basis and programs will begin to fill
shortly for 2011.
