Finding Your Inspiration Part 1

Everyone who works in a creative field can experience a creative slump. It can be hard to get back on your feet and find your inspiration. Here is part one of tips to find your inspiration.

The first step is to watch content. Yes, you read that right. Watching your favorite content can help you feel inspired, so watch your favorite movies, television shows, and content creators. Don’t be afraid to branch out of your comfort zone for inspiration. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have hundreds of free movies you can watch and renting is an option. Sometimes leaving your comfort zone can inspire you the most.

A great way to find some inspiration is reading books. I know that not everyone is a reader, especially in today’s day and age, but that’s why it is perfect for inspiration. There are plenty of books without any media adaptation, giving you the ability to take creative liberties. Everyone pictures scenes differently, building your image could help inspire you!

A non-traditional thing that can help you find inspiration is looking at memes. Most of the time, people think “I could make this meme better”, so do it! It will help you learn different techniques in photo or video editing. Similar to Looking at memes, look at photo edits or aesthetics for inspiration. It can get you started and practicing.

These were a few ways to get started finding your inspiration through a little fun research. Go ahead, don’t feel bad about watching your favorite movie for the hundredth time. What is a show or movie that inspires you?
