Teaching Literacy

  • What are 3 of your fundamental beliefs about learning literacy?

Answer:

  1. We believe that the power of learning is within ourselves.
  2. We believe that our external factors are only stimulus something like/ some sort of stimulus. For example, a child who has the power to acquire the first language will acquire it automatically.
  3. We believe that through practice and repetition, we can change and develop our literacy skills.

 

What are 3 of your fundamental beliefs about teaching literacy?

Answer:

  1. We believe that the teacher possesses the power of creating stimulus for teaching literacy.
  2. We believe that none can be taught unless the students does have the power of reception.
  3. As teachers,  we can create much better environment for teaching literacy. As teachers we can train ourselves to provide with the students with better stimuli.

What are 3 of your fundamental beliefs about teaching literacy?

Answer:

  1. The goal should be, in a digital age, to create more appropriate context so that students can have the opportunity to learn the technique to self-judge, self-improve, self-modify and control.
  2. To make the world a better place to live in. for example with nuclear power the world can be destroyed or can be developed.
  3. The third goal should be to train ourselves how we can be more helpful to our surrounding people and manifest the human excellence.

What should be your basic approach to teaching literacy? What role should technology have in that teaching approach?

Answer:

  • Humanistic approach.
  • Technology should have a very positive role in this teaching approach.
