Did Someone Say There’s a Concert?

It’s concert season!!! I am attending my first concert of the summer at the end of July and I have already started planning my outfit! I will be going to the Khalid concert (if you couldn’t have guessed). The reason I started planning my outfit very early was because I used to wait until the day of the concert and I would be frantically searching for something unique that I wanted to stand out in.

I know a lot of my girlfriends and I like to wear whatever fits the genre of the artist we are going to see. Khalid is an R&B singer so I paired a pair of camouflage cargo pants with a t-shirt I ordered from Amazon because it seemed to fit the vibe of his music. If you’re going to a country concert and it comes to the day of and you are wishing you had a pair of cowgirl boots and a cowgirl hat to rock, you might wish you had pre-planned your outfit so you could be prepared for the day.

A strategy I have gotten better at but have yet to fully learn, is to be more prepared and not to procrastinate as much. If you know you have an event coming up such as a concert, first browse through your own closet or a friend’s closet if they don’t mind and see what you have to work with. If you don’t find what you’re searching for, go thrift shopping and I’m sure you’ll find the perfect concert outfit that fits the look you are going for. Another reason I recommend pre-planning an outfit is because of alteration purposes. I ordered this t-shirt about a month ago because I plan to bleach and crop it. I want to do this ahead of time so I can make sure it turns out the way I like it and so I can have enough time to order a new one if it does not. I paid $13 for the shirt and a friend gave me these pair of pants, so overall I didn’t spend much money!
