Thursday, July 27th — 6 hours

At 11 am, I did a walkthrough of the kennels to make a note of new dogs that needed photos and for dogs that had been newly assessed to go on PetFinder. I took out a few of the dogs and made sure to take pictures, as well as observe their mannerisms–how they walk on the leash, if they know any tricks, if they like to play fetch, tug, etc. I then uploaded the pictures onto the website. Around 1 pm, I worked on publishing profiles for cats and dogs that were assessed and that I had already photographed. I made sure to also check for which animals had been adopted and made sure to remove their profiles from PetFinder. I worked on publishing the profiles, and adding their biographies to PetPoint until I left at 5 pm.

Wednesday, July 26th — 6 hours

At 11 am, I compiled a list of new dogs and cats that needed photographs for the website. I also cross referenced which animals had been behaviorally assessed, so that I could make a note to put those ones on my PetFinder list as well. Around 11:45 am, I went around to the kennels and took out some of the dogs that needed photographs. I worked on photographing the dogs until about 12:30 pm. I then worked on taking photos of the cats on my list. When I was done with the cats, I took a few more of the dogs out to the dog runs to see if they liked certain toys and how they walked on the leash–that way I could add some specifics to their existing PetFinder profiles. After I had brought the dogs back in, and uploaded the new photos onto the website, I worked on publishing the new PetFinder profiles. I continued to work on that until I left at 5 pm.

Saturday, July 22nd — 7 hours

At 10 am, I did another walkthrough of the cat room and dog kennels to note some of the other animals that had been evaluated sometime during the work day the day before. There were only 2 dogs that had been assessed. I worked on trying to get photos of them before I worked on anything else. Around 1 pm, I uploaded the photos onto PetPoint. I then read through the animals’ behavior notes and created PetFinder profiles. After I was done that around 3:30 pm, I made a list of cats and dogs that needed photos for the website and worked with Steve on photographing and uploading them until I left at 5 pm.

Friday, July 21st — 7 hours

At 1 pm, I logged on to PetFinder to remove profiles of animals that had been adopted after I left the day before. After, I continued to photograph animals that needed photographs. I took out 2 of the newly evaluated dogs for photos, and then edited and uploaded the photos onto PetPoint. Around 2:15, I worked on PetFinder profiles. I decided to work on photographing cats and kittens around 5 pm, and worked on capturing and editing the photos until around 6 pm. I then went back to working on PetFinder until I left at 8 pm.

I did a walkthrough of the cat rooms and dog kennels to add more animals to my list of those needing photographs. I was able to take out two of the newly evaluated dogs, so I worked on photographing cats until Steve was free at 1:25 pm to take out more dogs. We took out 2 dogs for photographs. Wednesday, July 19th — 6 hours

At 11 am, I removed animals from PetFinder that had been adopted over the days I was off. I then re-wrote my list of animals to photograph, and included new animals that had been transferred in/moved onto the adoption’s floor. I worked on photographing cats and the dogs I was able to take out until the adoptions counselors got there at 1 pm. I edited and uploaded photos until 1:45 pm. Steve and I then took out more dogs to photograph. We worked on taking photos until around 3 pm. Afterwards, I edited and uploaded the new photos and continued to work on PetFinder profiles until I left at 5 pm.

Sunday, July 16th — 4 hours

At 2 pm, I continued to work on the case study. I added the information about budget, the department report, and the marketing materials for our company. Afterwards, I edited the prospective cover letter I had written to add some more detail about what I had done from day to day. Around 4:15 pm, I uploaded pictures I had taken in the previous weeks. Around 5:15 pm, I uploaded the work logs from the previous work weeks. I was finished for the day around 6 pm.

Saturday, July 15th — 7 hours

I worked on photographing cats for the website until around 2 pm. Steve was free until about 2:15 pm, so we took out 2 dogs for photographs in that time. Afterwards, I uploaded the photographs onto PetPoint and continued to work on PetFinder profiles until 4:30 pm. At 4:40 pm, I copied the PetFinder bios and uploaded them onto the animals’ PetPoint profiles, so that they would show up on the PSPCA website. I finished for the day around 5 pm.

Friday, July 14th — 7 hours

At 1 pm, I logged on to PetFinder to remove profiles of animals that had been adopted after I left the day before. After, I continued to upload profiles onto PetFinder with the photos I had taken of animals the day before. After I was finished, I made sure to add all the new biographies onto each PetPoint profile, so that they would show up on the PSPCA website, as well. Steve and I took more dogs out around 4 pm, and worked on photographing them until around 5:30 pm. I edited and uploaded the photos onto the website, and worked on PetFinder profiles until I left at 8 pm.
