This is a departure away from what the blog has been thus far, but I felt the need to make a point about politics. Currently, we are in a time in all our lives where the U.S president is meeting with the North Korean dictator, Kim Jung Un. It should be exciting to see peace talks between two nations who have been at odds for almost 70 years. Yet, I am terrified of what could come of it. Donald Trump in the last two years as president has been anything but trustworthy. He flips opinions on a dime, lies, changes rhetoric, and infuriates everyone that has to deal with him. Combine that with someone who is as flippant as he is in Kim Jung Un, and a recipe for disaster is sure to follow. Un and his predecessors wanted the entirety of the U.S to fall and die. There is no way that our president should trust this man, a man proven to be irrational and dangerous in the past. The same sentiment, unfortunately, goes to Un as well, as Trump is untrustworthy all the same. I am not saying that the world is on the brink of World War III, but we are damn close to it. There isn’t anything that we can do to change what the president is doing. Trump is a loose cannon politician, so the only thing we can do is sit back and hope the world doesn’t blow up.
