My first blog post is going to be an introduction to safety in football and some information that I know myself. I am involved in sports and try to stay as involved in the sport world as much as I can, but as a lot of people outside of sports may know about all the dangers all players face when they are playing a game. All athletes, not only football players, face many challenges and risk their own health to go out and play for their teams. These athletes obviously go through very intense training and do exercises to help prevent injuries, but anything could happen. As a former athlete myself, I only played basketball in high school for two years and I experienced some injuries that I did heal from and I was able to continue playing, but not all athletes cover or give themselves enough time to heal correctly. Most sports are non-contact and there are some that are contact but players do not intentionally come in contact. but with football on the other hand, these football players are meant to crash and bang into each other which leads to many injuries. Football players are going onto the field everyday knowing that they could possibly hurt themselves badly just from one hit in the wrong spot. Training may help in many ways to stop injuries from helping but anything can happen in the field and the injury may leave the player out for good. I want to shed more light on the risks players take when they decide to play a sport and make sure you are a help to spread safety in football.
