For the players that make into the professional football league will go on to play football for many until they can’t play anymore. With the many years and hard-work these players put into each game they played every season, they increased their chances of suffering from many long-term health conditions that are not always worth the love for the game. The amount of money these players are being paid every year may seem like the best deal to take but they will have to pay it back with their own health in the long run. These players suffer from many injuries throughout their football careers and over time their body will start to become weaker and weaker and it will not be ale to take the impact from the game anymore. When these players get older, they will start to suffer more from their injuries and may actually be put out of the game for the rest of their lives because this injury was just too much on their bodies. The many concussions that football players suffer from with all the hitting and ganging into each other, this has caused many retired athletes to start losing their memories a lot sooner than they should and it can cause them to suffer from other brain damage. Not only do the athletes have to suffer from this long-term affects these injuries have on them, but their families also have to suffer and take care of the athlete once they are retired or officially out of the game. The long-term effects should be taken into more consideration when these athletes decide to sign these contracts every year, sometimes the health effects aren’t worth playing football.
