Professional Biography

   Alexis Schiffhauer is a college student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. For the last several years she has participated in many clubs and programs including Model UN, The Leadership Fellows Program, and CHS Theories of Leadership. These clubs have shown her true leadership and guidance for college and any career she chooses. She has great work experience in different positions and jobs including MTS Group LLC and The Brain Recovery Crew. These experiences have prepared her for her future accomplishments.

Alexis’s current job is working part-time with MTS Group LLC. This is an appraisal management company where she calls appraisers, sets appointments, checks for reports being on time, and ensures clients are happy. In the year that she has worked there, she has improved in public speaking, time management, and working in a high pace environment. She has enjoyed experiencing working at a 9-5 office job.

Another significant experience is the Leadership Fellows Program. This program was part of her freshman year in college at High Point University. Before she attended IUP she went to a private liberal arts college in North Carolina where she was awarded a scholarship from the Leadership Fellows Program. This Program involved guest speakers, projects, group work, and self-evaluations all to become a confident leader.

Lastly, one of the most impactful aspects of her life has been the media. She has learned, grown, cried, and been inspired by the media around her. The way the media portrays women has led her to become an activist for feminism. No matter what she does or where she goes in life speaking up and representing women is her passion and her purpose
