The Eighteenth electronic device that I can remember that brought me a lot of love, fun, pain, and trouble was the Amazon Alexa Echo. When I got the Amazon Alexa Echo it was for a Christmas present from my parents. At first, I wasn’t so sure I wanted it because I have been hearing all the crazy things on the internet like it was spying on people. I was sure if it wanted a device listening to my private conversations but after seeing all the features it had I said why not.

Some of the love and fun that came from me having an Amazon Alexa was when I finally got it set up the way I wanted it I fell in love with that thing. For a couple months straight, it used Alexa to everything it said it could do which was playing music, tell me the weather before I stepped outside, read out text messages, and my to-do list. And a whole bunch of other features were being used.

Some of the pain and trouble that came from me having an Amazon Alexa was when I started realizing that device is just sitting their listening to my conversations and sending advertisements to phone of things that I only talked about out loud. And another thing it did was call the police by accident and had them show up to my house. And that took a lot of explaining to tell the officer that there was nothing wrong and we don’t know who called you.

Some of that pain and trouble could have been avoided if I trusted my gut from the beginning when I was telling myself that device was nothing but trouble. So, to avoid that from ever happening again I unplugged it and put in a box never to be seen and heard from again. I think it would be best if those devices would just go away.
