Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) Internships

The Foundation for Sustainable Development (FSD) is currently accepting applications for Summer and Fall International Internship sessions at our Latin America, East Africa, and India sites.

Our priority deadline is March 1, and we encourage students to apply quickly in order to secure a spot. Placements are competitive as we attract students from 16 formal University Partners.
FSD has provided international development internships since 1995, and
is described as the “gold standard of global engagement programs.”

Our
community development internships provide students (aged 17+) hands-on
experience that will influence their academic and professional lives in
profound ways, while also providing highly valued support to our
grassroots partner organizations. The independent yet supportive program
allows students to challenge themselves for deeply resonant learning in
global development and social change.

Our
partners work across all sectors – education, health, economic
development, human rights, environment and appropriate technology to
name a few – and students are rigorously trained in our participatory,
asset-based sustainable development approach. Students learn key skills
in project design and management, cultural integration, program
sustainability, and evaluation. Information about our rewarding
internship programs can be found here

We now offer a $3,000 scholarship  to Masters of Public Health students and
recent PH graduates for funded field work during our summer and fall
2013 sessions. The application deadline for this program is March 15.  More information on the Katie Evans Memorial Scholarship can be found here.
