Dear CHC Students,
I lived and taught in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for four years, and in May and June 2021 I am taking a group of IUP students to Vietnam for a three-week study abroad and internship program.
This program was scheduled to occur in May and June of 2020, but was canceled due to COVID-19. We currently have 13 students who have paid the deposits required to participate in 2021. Our cap is 20 students, so we only have 7 more spaces and they are filling quickly.
It’s going to be an incredible experience for our students, and I think it would be a great fit for the Cook Honors Program students. We have a great mix of students going: 1 PhD student, 4 MBA students, 4 Business Honors students, 1 Cook Honors student, and 3 undergraduate students. The students will be taking two courses in Vietnam, both of which have already been preapproved for six hours of transfer credit. In addition, they will be working in an international internship for the FPT Corporation, which is a large multinational company headquartered in Vietnam.
I am attaching a PDF of my presentation slides on the program and I was hoping you might be able to forward it to all Cook Honors Program students. I would also welcome the opportunity to speak with the Cook Honors Program students about the program via Zoom, either to a group of students or individually if they have questions about the program.
Please also let me know if you have any questions. It’s going to be a great experience and I hope some additional Cook Honors Program students will join us!
Thank you,
Henry Webb
