Mead Making!
One of my favorite activities on a rainy or cold day is to make Mead or Honey Wine.
According to Wikipedia, Mead is one of the oldest known forms of alcohol.

I was first introduced to Mead about 4 years ago during a conference in Kentucky. One of
the local restaurants had mead on their menu and it was awesome! Fast forward a few years and I came across a Mead making kit at a local craft fair. The kit included all of the directions, yeast and spices needed to make a spiced short mead. Unfortunately, after the 30 day process, I was
left with an odd tasting, bitter drink.
Determined, I decided that I was going to start making “my own” recipes for mead.
Wanting to bring my experiments to others, I will chronicle my successes and failures on this page!
