Technology, for the Minor Inconveniences

Technology does a lot of great things, connecting people, allowing for 24/7 access to information, sending people to the moon etc. While that’s all well and good, sometimes you need some tech to address those minor annoyances in life.

Not Enough Outlets

Apartment dwellers run into this problem more than others but having to run around to find a plug or trying to figure out what can be unplugged is just a hassle. If you’re clustering electronics together, get some extension cords and surge protectors. This way you can overload a single outlet, safely. If you’re charging a lot of electronics with USB cords, you can DIY your own outlets to have USB ports in them. Also, there are multi-port adapters, which are great for travelling as well!

Spotty WiFi

There are few things as frustrating as a bad WiFi connection. There are really two options to fix this problem, extend or strengthen the network. You can invest in a WiFi range extender, which is great for smaller places. For a bigger home, check out Eero Home WiFi System, which allows for a multi-router set up. This creates a net to blanket an area in coverage. By strategically placing them around your home, you should have consistent WiFi all around.

Dirty Floors, and No Time

You’ve probably heard of them, but robot vacuums are a useful investment. As pricey as they can be, there are cheaper options than the name brand Rumba robots. Eufy RoboVac is priced at $219, and still has competent features to help keep your house clean without out the worry. It has 6 different modes and a 90-minute battery life. It can accurately keep smaller homes and apartments tidy, and without as large of a price tag.

Short Battery Life

In due time, your phone’s battery just won’t be what it used to be. Morphie charging cases greatly extend a phones battery life, with the small inconvenience of adding some bulk to your phone itself. If a bulky phone just isn’t on the table, invest in battery packs. There are plenty of options out there, and even the smallest ones can usually charge your phone fully once or twice.

High Cable Bill

As online streaming becomes more common, more and more people are cutting their cable bill altogether. But if you still want to get some main TV channels, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox, a possible solution is an HDTV Antenna. This will allow you to have access to live TV during important events, but you can cut the cost of paying for cable.
