Comfort in Heels

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog!

Today’s work wear-related topic of discussion revolves around high heels.

*Insert groan here*

Never fear my flat-shoe-loving friends, I’m talking about comfortable heels!

Do you ever find that perfect pair of high shoes. You know, in a great color and they make your calves look like you frequent the stair master (even when you cringe at the mere sight of one). These perfect pair of heels end up at home with you two hours later and find their way to your feet the following Friday night.

Then tragedy strikes. You walk five steps down the street and five blisters are already forming. You end up leaving the night-out early because your feet are d-y-i-n-g. These shoes could never make it into your place of work if you can’t last an hour in them!

But alas, you love these shoes! Not to mention the good money you spent on them. So you give them another chance, armed with enough bandaids to last you a century.

Unfortunately, we all know how this story ends… the shoes end up in the back of your closet never to be worn again.

But there are alternatives! Start by finding a heel height that feels right to you. If the heel is thin, typically it is more comfortable to stick to the 2-inch-and-below-height. With block heels however, we can go a bit higher.

The shoes I wore to work today were one of the first cute yet comfortable heeled shoes I have found thus far. The heel height is about 1.5 inches.
