A big part of successful music videos is timing. And that applies to AMVs as well. If you want an AMV to do well you’re gonna have to get timing down. A lot of AMVs don’t have timing and it doesn’t add as much emotion to the video, weather that be action, sadness, drama, etc. What most people do, and what I recommend is to use the beats in order to time your video. For every beat you hear, have a clip start and stop at every beat and you can even go one step further and have the clips in whatever sequence you want. You could be going in order of episodes or tell your own story that matches with the song. I’ve done both these examples and they turned out very well. The tedious part is going through the episodes and finding that certain timestamp you need. Which brings me to my next point, making a script.
