Description

Boutique literary agency Aevitas Creative Management (formerly Kuhn Projects and Zachary Shuster Harmsworth) is seeking interns to work in its office in New York’s Flatiron District. Candidates should be available to start in early February 2017 and able to commit to at least two days per week through mid-May.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in careers in publishing. Aevitas Creative Management is a new venture formed by two of the industry’s most dynamic and editorially driven agencies, and interns will receive a full picture of its inner workings. Regular duties will include:

  • Reading manuscript submissions and providing editorial feedback on proposals
  • Conducting market research via social media and news outlets; brainstorming book ideas and potential clients to pursue
  • Routing and filing contracts, royalty statements, and author-related documents
  • Other miscellaneous tasks

Ideal applicants will be perceptive readers, comfortable meeting deadlines and managing projects both collaborative and solo. Interns will work across the two agencies, with agents whose tastes and lists vary widely; for more information, visit our websites at aevitascreative.com, kuhnprojects.com and zshliterary.com.

Applicants should send a concise cover letter and resume to Nate Muscato, nmuscato@aevitascreative.com.
