Stop #18, Northern China.
How? This is a common question when trying to travel far and wide. How will I get there? How do I plan for this trip? How will I make this possible?
Today I will be answering some of your ‘How questions’ on attaining a successful trip. I will also be open for tips, comments, and questions at the end of the post.
Welcome to China! China offers a wide variety of sights from beautiful mountains to miles of coastlines. China incorperates modern architecture or ancient tradition. From built up cities to humble temples. China offers a vast array of sights and experiences.
How willI get there? A flight to China ranges from $900-$1,100. Prices can vary depending on where and when you decide to depart. I recommend using the Skyscanner app to help with finding the cheapest prices. Always keep an eye on price changes in order to find the best price.
How will I rest? Hotels will range from $50-$100. Depending on where and what amenities you want prices could rise or lower. I recommend also looking into Airbnb to find a cheaper option as well.
How will I stay occupied? Northern China is home to one of the seven wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China. The worlds largest wall 13,248 miles and counting. Was built by hand and preserves over 2,600 years of history. The wall was built in order to keep out invaders and was built in pieces by three clashing kingdoms. Most of the wall still stands today. I also recommend checking our Beijing, which is in close proximity to the Balding portion of the wall. The city is the capital of China and enlightens you on modern day china.
How will I communicate? This is a huge tourist site bringing in many travelers. There will be tour guides to help you communicate and get around. However, I recommend learning basic communication phrases in order to better communicate with locals.
How will I be safe? Its important that you get the following vaccinations; Hepatitis A and B, Rabies, Typhoid, Polio, Yellow Fever, and Malaria. I recommend avoiding contact with stray animals, and wear bug spray to avoid bug bites. Always be aware of your surrounding.

‘How’ questions are only an excuse that stops us from straying from our comfort zone. Don’t let it stop you, let it fuel you. Traveling is an eye opening and educational experience, the only way to learn is to go. There is no master plan or set rules or guide lines to traveling. You just do your research and plan accordingly. So, where will you go? What will you learn? What’s stopping you?
