Stop #16, Hawaii.
How? This is a common question when trying to travel far and wide. How will I get there? How do I plan for this trip? How will I make this possible?
Today I will be answering some of your ‘How questions’ on attaining a successful trip. I will also be open for tips, comments, and questions at the end of the post.
Welcome to Hawaii! Hawaii is one of the 50 states in the US, made up of 6 main Islands. I plan on visiting all 6 while on my voyage here. What makes Hawaii such a neat place is the culture is very different to normal United states culture as it spans from a Polynesian descent. As well as, the breath taking landscape.
How will I get there? You will arrive by $500+ plane ride. This is relatively a cheaper flight compared to other place. I recommend using Skyscanner to find the best city and time to head to Hawaii in order to save money.
How will I rest? On this voyage I plan on heading to each main island so I’ll plan my room accommodations more with airbnb since ill be on the move. However I know this option is not for everyone so hotels are a good option. Prices can range from $150-$200. I recommend staying at places that are less resort like in order to save money. Basic hotels are vary reliable unless you want to spend more for amenities.
How will I stayed occupied? Hawaii offered many out door experiences. Take your time exploring the beautiful rugged cliffs. The variety of beaches with gold, red, black, and green sands. From water to fire, make sure you check out many of the volcanos that hour housed on these islands. If your looking to pick up a new sport be sure to take time to learn how to surf. More educational retreats involves heading to the WW2 memorial. I recommend eating at local restaurants in order to get a taste of authentic cooking.
How will I communicate? Hawaiians speak english. However they also speak Hawaiian. I recommend learning basic phrases to better interact with locals. Locals set up many businesses in order to bring in an income because Hawaii is a big tourist destination.
How will I be safe? Stay away from stray animals. Be aware of ocean safety when taking to the beaches. Be mindful of your surrounding. Lastly, be mindful of the climate change. Bring sunscreen and apply often and avoid bug bites by applying bug spray.

‘How’ questions are only an excuse that stops us from straying from our comfort zone. Don’t let it stop you, let it fuel you. Traveling is an eye opening and educational experience, the only way to learn is to go. There is no master plan or set rules or guide lines to traveling. You just do your research and plan accordingly. So, where will you go? What will you learn? What’s stopping you?
