Stop #6, Tahiti!

How? This is a common question when trying to travel far and wide. How will I get there? How do I plan for this trip? How will I make this possible?

Today I will be answering some of your ‘How questions’ on attaining a successful trip. I will also be open for tips, comments, and questions at the end of the post.

From the cold of Finland to the beautiful weather of Tahiti we will be taking a break from all of our excursions and enjoy a lazy action to the beautiful and largest island of the French Polynesia.

How will I get there? Since Tahiti is more secluded that causes an increase in price. However or average for flights will stay around the same price because the price for a flight to Tahiti is around $1500. Remind you, flights can and will vary depend where you fly out of and what time of year you fly.

How will I rest? Hotels can range in price from around $150-$350. Tahiti is equips with many different types of hotels and bungalows. This allows you to pick and chose what type of money you would like to invest into this trip. The best way to get around the island is my public bus, bike, or renting a car. Also save money by going to the supermarket and cooking meals but make sure you splurge a little and enjoy cuisines the island has to offer.

How will I stayed occupied? Tahiti is known for its beautiful beaches like black sand beaches, waterfalls, lagoons, and volcanos. Tahiti is usually traveled to because its beauty is untouched and secluded compared to your more popular island vacations.

How will I communicate? Since the island is accommodated to tourists you will intervene with many english speaking people. However the most common language spoken on the island is French. So brush up on your basics. Learn how to acknowledge everyone and say thank you. Adjust to the culture in order to experience all the trip has to offer.

How will I stay safe? Its recommended that you get the Typhoid, Hepatitis A and B, and Influenza shot before traveling to Tahiti. Also don’t be surprised if on your 20 hour flight to get travelers diarrhea. This happens a lot more to travelers then you can think.

Traveling is an eye opening and educational experience, the only way to learn is to go. There is no master plan or set rules or guide lines to traveling.
