Second stop, Australia!
How? This is a common question when trying to travel far and wide. How will I get there? How do I plan for this trip? How will I make this possible?
Today I will be answering some of your ‘How questions’ on attaining a successful trip. I will also be open for tips, comments, and questions at the end of the post.
I really believe traveling is about experiencing. Not material things like big resorts. Especially in this day and age the way Humans are impacting nature its important to get out there and see it before it disappears. Which is why the Great Barrier Reef is number two on the hit list.
Located off the cost of QueensIsland in Australia, The Great Barrier is the largest living thing on earth. The ecosystem is home to countless number of crabs, different colored fish molluscs, starfish, turtles, dolphins, and sharks. The eco system supports all of these animals which allows you to see how big the reef actually is. However, due to climate change and humans impact on nature the coral reef is declining and fast. Which is an even better reason to get out to Australia and experience this natural beauty.
How will I get there? Everything about this trip is an expense from flights, to hotels, to experiences. Flights from the United states to the Great Barrier can range from $1,000-$2,000. Again steep along side giving up a day to travel due to the flight being 15 plus hours.
How will I rest? Hotels however you have a lot more control over how much you want to spend, where you want to stay, and what accomidies you want to have.
How will I stayed occupied? There are so many ways to interact with the great barrier. You can snorkeling, scuba diving, helicopter, glass-bottom boats, educational trips, tours, whale watching and swimming with dolphins. So many breath taking opportunities to experience with natures wonders!
How will I communicate? Language in Australia is different than what you’re use to. Australians speak english but with a unique accent and vocabulary. So that would be the biggest difficulty when communicating with the culture in Australia.
How will I stay safe? When traveling to Australia many vaccines are recommended! Australia is notorious for its vast animals. So be aware or your surrounding and what may be lurking around. Vaccinations include, yellow fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Hepatitis A and B, Rabies, Mosquito-borne diseases, and whatever else you need to feel safe. Again its important to be aware and knowledgeable of the environment you are implementing yourself in.

‘How’ questions are only an excuse that stops us from straying from our comfort zone. Don’t let it stop you, let it fuel you. Traveling is an eye opening and educational experience, the only way to learn is to go. There is no master plan or set rules or guide lines to traveling. You just do your research and plan accordingly. So, where will you go? What will you learn? What’s stopping you?
