Love to paint digitally? It’s one of my favorite things to do as a graphic designer. Digital painting is one of the first things we learned in college. Today I want to talk about some of the best products to use for it.
- Wacom Tablets

I LOVE Wacom’s products. They’re super easy to set up and use. I like to be able to draw freehand with the pen. Personally, I really like the Bamboo tablet. It is a great alternative to having a touchscreen laptop (and cheaper, too!)
2. Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1

This is by far the best laptop I have found for graphic design purposes. It has a touch screen and a pen that comes with it (so no need for the Wacom tablet anymore.) It also flips around to turn into a tablet for drawing. It was super important to me to have a laptop that was fast enough to handle Adobe products, and this one does the trick. With my old laptop, trying to paint took forever. One brush stroke would take a whole minute to load. This one allows me to continuously draw with ease.
3. iPad Pro and Pencil
Personally, I don’t have these products, but I do like the idea of them. They are super useful in the same ways as the other two options I mentioned. I like that the iPad is small and lightweight because it allows you to take it with you. I also feel like I have more control because I can grab ahold of it easier.
Most of all, take into account which option is most affordable for you. The Wacom tablets are going to be the cheapest option because you can use them with laptops or computers that you already have. If you ever feel like upgrading (or already have the expenses) the Dell Inspirion 13 7000 or the iPad Pro and Pencil would be great choices.
