Must have own transportation to travel from Indiana, PA to Creekside, PA. Approximately a 20 minute drive.
Seeking applicants for a part-time homework helper/tutoring instructor for an after school homework/tutoring program being offered at the Creekside United Methodist Church. Seeking individuals who are reliable and who have good time management skills. Seeking students who are committed to the academic growth of children (grades K-12) and who will serve as a role model to this population. Individuals will assist children with any or all of the following subjects: health, math, physical fitness, reading, spelling, social studies, vocabulary, and science. It is expected that all children will complete their homework during this time.
Tutoring sessions will be conducted on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings from approximately 3:15 – 5:45 p.m., dependent upon the Marion Center School District academic calendar and the IUP academic calendar. The work schedule can also be divided into two schedules should you be unavailable for the entire 3:15 – 5:45 p.m. shift. Options are: 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. or 4:00 – 5:45 p.m.
Must present themselves well in the interview.
Must have all clearances. This is an excellent experience for future teachers.
