New Library Resource: Sage Research Methods Online

IUP Libraries has licensed a new research database, Sage Research Methods Online
(SRMO). SRMO can be accessed both on and off campus. It is available
24/7 to all students and faculty with a valid IUP I-Card. Watch for a
workshop in late March or early April 2012 to help you get the most out
of this resource!

SAGE Research Methods Online was created to help researchers,
faculty, and students with their research projects. SRMO links over
120,000 pages of SAGE’s book, journal, and reference content in research
methods with advanced search and discovery tools. Researchers can
explore methods concepts to help them design research projects,
understand particular methods or identify a new method, conduct their
research, and write up their findings. Since SRMO focuses on methodology
rather than disciplines, it can be used across the social sciences,
behavioral sciences, health sciences, and more.

With SRMO, researchers can explore their chosen method across the
depth and breadth of content, expanding or refining their search as
needed; read online, print, or e-mail full-text content; utilize
suggested related methods and links to related authors from SRMO’s
library and unique features; and even share their own collections of
content through methods lists. SRMO contains content from 640 books,
dictionaries, encyclopedias, and handbooks, the entire “Little Green
Book” and “Little Blue Book” series, two major works collating a
selection of journal articles, and newly commissioned videos.

Please forward your questions or comments about SRMO to Joann Janosko, Collection Development/E-Resources librarian, at janosko@iup.edu.
