How does praise make you feel?
Today at work I was awarded MVP of the front office staff for last nights game. On each game-day there is a front office meeting to discuss that nights agenda. Each game-day meeting the general manager gives out an MVP award for the previous nights work. Some employees get it for being polite and helpful to fans. Others receive it for being very energetic and pumping up the fans. And today I received it for a video I made that is to played on the stadium video board right before the Curve take the field to start the game. A “pump up” video more or less.
Receiving praise for my work and being congratulated for my work especially as an intern is a great feeling. It’s reassured me that I’m doing just fine and people enjoy my work.
Recognition is key in the work place, in my opinion. It’s meant to boost that persons confidence and encourage the rest of the employees to do a great job as well!
Stay true to your hard work ethic, maybe you will receive some praise and recognition soon in your line of work.
BE YOURSELF, DREAM, and CREATE!
