In todays era Social Media has a huge presence. If you are just taking a walk down the street or your even on break at work you’ll notice almost everyone around you has a smart phone, tablet, or laptop pinned to their face. Most college students have some form of social media on one if not all of our devices. Nowadays a presence on social media is important in a job search. You are able to see who is all hiring and what all to expect from a particular company or business.

One of the big questions after you graduate is “What are you going to do now?”. With this major there is an immense amount of job opportunities that range from all over. Just a few occupations that one could possibly obtain are a public relations manager, marketing manager, social media marketer, web development, advertising specialist, HR specialist, business manager, online publisher, and even a legal assistant. All of those listed are each uniquely different and all are able to be a future possible employer with this particular major!

Communications as a whole has a huge variety of occupations that one can pick from, it creates an opportunity for such a wide range of career options that make it easier for the job hunt. To add to that employers are looking for individuals with strong communication skills. Being able to convey certain ideas using various visuals, graphics, and texts is something almost every company is need of and that has not changed for centuries. This major allows for one to take a step out of their comfort zone and aid in your development of person.
