Created by IUP students, “A Tick in Time Saves Lyme” showcases the research done by IUP’s Biology Department on Lyme Disease, the most common vector born transmitted disease in the United States. Led by Dr. Thomas Simmons, the department is at the forefront of research on black tick Lyme Disease in Pennsylvania. The video highlights how the department develops research through extracting ticks and their DNA to find infected molecules.
