As an intern for a real estate brokerage, my network and connections have expanded exponentially. Real estate agents are some of the most connected people because their job is to stay connected and always be networking. When it is time to buy my first house or I want to start investing in real estate, I have a handful of awesome real estate agents to call. In addition, I met Ben Yocca from AJM Mortgage, so that is always a great contact to have. The connections I was able to make will definitely be valuable in the near future.
As far as the future goes career wise, I graduate in December and will start looking for jobs around that time. To search for job I will use Indeed and LinkedIn. LinkedIn has been a valuable resource as I have already started connecting with people I know or have worked with. I have already received an opportunity for an interview at a new company, but it didn’t work out because I have a semester left. Since I am graduating in December instead of August, I think the pool of graduates looking for jobs will be substantially smaller. My overall strategy will be to apply to anything that interests me and network with family friends and successful business people that I know. I am hopeful that I will find a great opportunity after I gradute.
