I am Kyle Scott, a student in my third year at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I major in Communications Media and minor in Sociology.
I produce and edit three podcasts a week for IUP’s student-run newspaper organization The Penn, which I have done since my sophomore year. The podcasts range from 30 minutes to over an hour, and they have sponsors too! I am also involved with the preproduction and production of The Penn’s video series “Inside the Issue”, including writing and acting. I am a DJ on WIUP-FM, IUP’s radio station, and have made appearances in front of and behind the camera on IUPTV’s sports show “The Big Hit.”
As a child, I was fascinated by movies like King Kong, Star Wars, Jason and the Argonauts, and Toy Story. I wanted to be an animator for a long time before transitioning to film and now focusing on audio. I’ve always loved making things and making media is very rewarding for me. I like to think that someday soon, something I’ve made will inspire children to get into the field as well.
