Alec Benjamin. Have you heard of him?
He’s someone on this list that has recently been getting a lot of attention these last few months, but I know there are still people out there that have no idea who he is.
If you do know him or if you don’t, he has a song called “Let Me Down Slowly” which is one of his better-known songs.
Alec Benjamin is a 24-year-old American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona. He is another artist that I think belong on this list of people who are underrated is the fact that he has so many good songs that have meaning to them. I don’t know about you but sometimes it’s hard to really understand what some are singing about in a song. Alec doesn’t have that problem. Everything is so clean and crisp it hits you in the face.
Although Alec has gotten some air time in the sense of tv and radio, I do believe that he could be more mainstream. When I first heard of Alec I was about to leave to go to London over the summer and I was listening to the Now Charting radio on Apple Music. The moment this song hit my ears, I was impressed. I knew I never heard this song before, and I also knew I needed to download it immediately. Needless to say, Alec has become someone I listen to every day.
Becoming a mainstream artist, to begin with, is a very hard achieve to get when you are just kind of starting out. Alec, I truly believe, will become much more well known by the end of the new year, 2019. His lyrics are like reading through a really good book and you just can’t put it down. That’s what it sounds like in your ears. The stories that this man tells, you can tell are personal to him, yet you can connect to it like it happened to you. You really don’t need to be a mainstream artist to be discovered.
