Matt Simons. Have you heard of him?
The likelihood of someone knowing him would surprise me because I have only known of her since May. Which I see a trend going on. I don’t know what it is because May seems to be the month where I’m likely to discover a new artist. That’s very interesting, to say the least.
Moving on.
Matt Simons, for those of you who have no clue who I’m talking about, is a 31-year-old from Palo Alto, California. The genre of music that he falls under is Pop.
What’s weird about my discovery of Matt Simons is that I found him from listening to Now Charting radio station on Apple Music, shocking, but after the day that I heard it, it was literally never played on that radio station ever again. I think it’s strange or maybe an odd sign for God that his music was meant to be in my life. I’m going to go with the second option.
Anyways, the song that made me want to listen to more of this stuff was the song “We Can Do Better.” Honest to God, I know I said I fell in love with everyone’s songs, but this time is different. I don’t know if it is his voice or the beats, but this is the song I want to be played at my funeral. That’s how much I fell for it. I fell so hard, I died.
All joke aside, this song is a song that I will continue to listen to until the end of time.
Matt Simons isn’t a mainstream artist which also seems to be a theme in these blogs but like I always say, that shouldn’t stop us from liking what we like. I think he isn’t mainstream is because he has such a huge gap from when songs are being released. I know stuff like that can affect who’s listening and whose will to wait years until the next song is released.
As always, go give him a good hearty listen on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, or whatever other platforms that will let you listen to music. Listen to the old and listen to the new.
Comment down below and tell me which you like better? His older music or the newer?
