Who’s Ebba?

Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson. Have you heard of her?

This name might not be familiar to you, but you may know the name, Tove Lo.

I feel like I say this a lot but Tove Lo, to me, is pretty the most well-known artist that I have on my list, but I still put her on this because every time I ask someone if they know her or have heard of her music, I always get blank stares.

Personally, Tove Lo is probably the main reason why I even came up with the idea of starting this blog on this topic. I say this because I saw showing my friend a song from Alec Benjamin, go look at my previous post to learn about him, and she had no idea who he was. I figured, so I kept showing her his songs. During this, she turns to me and asked if I still loved and listened to Tove Lo. I was surprised that she even remembered that I listened to her because I haven’t brought her up in years. After that, I switch artists and started playing music from Tove Lo. My friend at this point knows who Tove Lo is but she still hasn’t listened to her music without. Which brings me to why I choose to write blogs dedicated to this. My friend may know who she is but won’t really give her a full-on chance. That’s why I believe there are so many artists that are underrated and unheard of because of this mentality.

I don’t blame my friend, but it did bring it to my attention. Maybe my friend will read this, like all of you are and I will be able to do some more convincing to get you all to just give Tove Lo as listen.

First and for most, Tove Lo is a 31-year-old from Stockholm, Sweden. The kind of music that she is known for making in Electropop and Indie.

Like I mentioned, Tove Lo is probably the most mainstream artist that I have chosen too far, but I still believe she is underrated. I believe this because she is the rawest human being I have ever known. She really doesn’t care what people think about her and she isn’t afraid to show it. Besides that Tove Lo makes incredible music. Her songs are a little more scandalous, but I think that’s what makes me so attracted to her music. Ugh, it makes me kind of mad when people tell me they haven’t heard of her or just haven’t listened since “Habits” and “Talking Body” have been released. I just know so many will like her or love her as much as I do.

You can find Tove Lo on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.

I swear on my life, she is worth the listen. You can come back and tell me why she wasn’t your cup of tea after you make the effort to listen to what she has to offer the world.

Who’s an artist you know and love that is a little edgier? Let me know in the comments down below. Maybe, I will give them a listen.
