Collage Art on your phone

I’m sure everyone reading this has ventured through their timeline on Instagram, looking for something that catches the eye. Being home to many types of pages that produce content, art pages are a common sight on the social media platform. More than enough times that I can count, I’ve stumbled across vintage, aesthetically produced pictures that showcase everyday people in old fashioned clothing that may be boarding a train. However, the train they are boarding may lead to Saturn, or the moon, as the photograph shows the planet in the background, amongst the stars. This art form is a series of photographs all edited into one, called a collage.

When I first saw these, my interest was peaked. I looked for more and thought this art form was stunning, so I looked for ways to make my own. While it’s certainly possible to form these by hand and dedication, it’s easier to produce it right on your phone. To get started, all you would need is a type of phone app that removes the background from behind the primary subjects. I like to use PicsArt as most of it’s content is free for use. Next, search on the web for images you can use to make and produce your content, they must be royalty free and labeled for reuse with modification, however, unless you want to risk the copyright infringement. Take time learning the systems of the app, and with consistent practice, you’re your own digital collage artist! You could even take pictures with your friends, and use them as the subjects for your next piece. After all, team work makes the dream work.
