Escape from Tarkov is an intense and difficult game. The tradition bullet sponge in shooters has given way to an interesting and problematic concept. Most of the new players are unaware that a precise face shot is all it takes to succeed in E.F.T and it is just as easy to fail. Constantly dying and not being able to escape makes the game even more difficult as your in-game currency depletes. Leaving us with the only option of using our scavs.
When I first started EFT, I was clueless. I would take any equipment into a raid and disregard the logic behind the game. Character progression, gun types, bullet type, and armor types factor into the survival rate of your PMC. Eventually, I would run out of rubles and must scav. This further delayed my characters progression and financial options for equipment.
There are a few solutions to escaping tarkov and having a successful raid. Going into the raid looking to frag other players is not all the best option for financial growth. Raiding with minimal gear and looting the low traffic areas can lead to large profits. Stashes are located all over the maps. The patient or “rat” approach is not always fun and requires slow-crouch walking or camping. Ratting can give you great opportunities to frag unsuspecting geared players. At level 10 the flea market opens and allows you to sell items to other players. Playing the flea market is an easy money maker. The last and most aggressive option is taking in your best gear to frag players. The “chad” approach can work but feels horrible losing to a scav or low geared player.
I would suggest a mixture of the possible solutions. Take in moderately priced gear and loot everything. Every item can be “vendored” or placed on the flea market. Continue to upgrade your hideout towards the bitcoin farm. Late game bitcoin farms generate enough rubles to fully kit your PMC for a few raids.
I have played through only two wipes and I was late to the first one. If you have any suggestions for new players, please leave a comment.
