Christian: The hospitality industry is based on people and people satisfaction. But understanding people is only part of the battle in the workplace.

Christian: Hello, my name is Christian Jones and I want to help your organization communicate more efficiently so you can achieve peak success.

Christian: One of the most conflictual types of communication in the workplace is nonverbal communication.

Christian: We tend to communicate most of what we feel through our nonverbal messages and mastering this can take away those awkward customer and associate interactions.

Christian: A first impression is a lasting one. The way you look, stand and speak will determine how the person you are interacting with is going to respond to you.

Christian: Smiling when discussing something with someone can set the conversation off to a very good start.

Christian: Another strategy in communicating better is keeping eye contact with the individual.

Christian: This will let the individual know that you are being tentative and listening.

Christian: My last strategy in practicing better nonverbal communication is body posture.

Christian: Start using good posture to keep people more engaged in conversation. This can be done by standing upright and leaning slightly forward. This let the individual know that you are approachable, receptive and friendly.
