One More Addition to Carpenter’s Mixing of Physical and Web Spaces

For pedagogical approaches, this guy even has a 4 minute tutorial on how to make your own “interactive” videos at:

2 Thoughts.

  1. I’ve seen this before but never the tutorial. This is pretty crafty and a fun exercise to do at the start of the term! -Amanda

  2. I know it’s a little hokey and by no means literary or experimental and clearly not within the confines of the course. BUT the potential this type of crafting could have on performance art is limited only by the imagination of the artist. In addition, the VR goggles are extremely close to being marketable and again will open up new avenues of literary and artistic exploration. I just thought something using this approach might also offer a pedagogical opener for the some of the ideas that a course in differential texts covers (e.g. interface, physical and web space and literary space, reconstruction of performance space, breaking down of normal use of social spaces/accompanying discourses and practices, etc.)
