I know that I already posted about my remix, but I have done a ton of brainstorming since then. My new idea is to make a Howler brochure for mothers of Hogwart’s students. Basically, different colors will represent what type of howler your child will receive- red – anger, blue- disappointment, etc. I found instructions on how to make one, so my plan is to make at least one to show the class during my presentation.

This is a super cool idea! Kind of like a catalogue for mothers to purchase and customize their own howlers. I saw a few ways to make this on Pinterest, seems like it’ll be a fun project!
It’s sort of like the care packages that freshmen can receive through their first year! Unique idea, love it.
I think this is a great idea, especially when you consider some of the difficulties of sending Howlers through the mail. Now, I’m not entirely certain how they work (aside from “magic”) but I think something you could include is the best type of owl to rent (for families that don’t have an owl) in order to deliver the Howler – what owls are capable of staying calm after delivering the letter, essentially.
Additionally, would this be a Hogwarts-sanctioned brochure, or is it kind of like the “things that Disney World” doesn’t want you to know book – I can’t imagine Hogwarts particularly wants letters showing up that shout loud enough to be heard through the Great Hall every day.
I’d love to hear more about what you’re planning on incorporating into the brochure! 🙂
I really like this idea. I think you could also incorporate an option for “your own voice or for a little extra the voice of your child’s wizarding hero”. Just something that would be kinda funny, but also is similar to how we as a society upcharge things to add famous people to it. Choices could be like “Gilderoy Lockhart” or “Victor Krum” or “Minister of Magic” and other people like that.
