Step into the past
In today’s fast-paced world, it is so easy to get so swept up in the activity of the present and the uncertainty of the future. Consequently, people rarely take the time to reflect thoughtfully upon the past. While memories are triggered every day, the act of remembrance is often overlooked.
Many people don’t have time or don’t see the importance of dedicated self-reflection. And while getting too caught up in the past can harm you – be it the bad memories or the good – it’s always important to pay homage to the events that shaped us. This collection seeks not only to express my own thoughts and feelings, but to inspire the same recollective feeling in my readers.

Sunchaser doesn’t seek to preach or teach, but instead extends an invitation to skim a poem or get lost in them all.
Relevance: Sunchaser concerns itself largely with the metamorphosis into adulthood in a fast-paced society. It teeters on the edge of Young Adult and dips its toes into slightly more mature waters at times. Themes such as mental health and otherness are touched on in ways that
Variety: The poems in this collection take on various poetic forms and genres. Among others, free verse, prose poems, dramatic monologues, and persona poems are represented.
Accessibility: This ebook occasionally deals with topics from history, but they are all reshaped and reframed through easy to understand narratives that follow the overarching theme of memory. It strives to appeal to appeal to both the happier and darker memories one might encounter without alienating readers.
