Kobe Bryant Influence

Kobe Bean Bryant will always be remembered as a husband, father, sibling, and an amazing person. But no one will ever be able to discredit him for the things he did on the basketball court. He is debatably a top ten basketball player of all time. But others feel his legacy was bigger off the court than what it was on the court.

A lot of people don’t understand that before Kobe was the player we know, he lived in Italy with his parents. His father played professional basketball over there so Kobe learned to play European style of play then came back to the states. He had already learned a lot about basketball from his father. As he got older he started to pick up on things of his own. Like in a fourth grade basketball game he scored sixty points. I know, that sounds ridiculous but he understood that kids his age struggled going left. So he forced them left and when they tried to come back to their strong hand he would steal the ball. So basketball was a huge part of his life from the beginning. He played basketball for forty years.  Why is it even a question of which legacy of his holds more weight.

Kobe will always be known for his NBA play. His first four seasons weren’t that good. Then in a playoff game he airmailed four time in a game. After that he declared that he would never have a season like that again. His work ethic was unmatched. He got off the plane in LA that night around 2 am and went straight to a gym. He didn’t leave the gym until around 6 am. This explains how he worked everyday from there on out. His trainer used to get calls from him around 3 or 4 in the morning, asking him to workout weekly. His mindset was to workout more than anyone else everyday. So over a long period of time you wouldn’t even be close to the work he has put in. Those are a few suggestions of why his legacy was so unmatched on the basketball court.

I would suggest if you’re talking about legacy look at what he has done. he won five championships. He scored 81 points in a game before. His final game he scored sixty points. These things are so hard to accomplish. So I get he was an amazing person. But Kobe will always be known for basketball.

Do you believe I’m wrong?  Do you think what happened to him and his daughter defines his legacy? Please don’t be afraid to let me know. I want to know how you guys feel.

Kobe Bryant will always be considered to be one of the best basketball players to ever live. No matter the debate he was amazing on and off the court.
