Best ways to beat a 2-3 Zone

Is your team struggling against a 2-3 zone? Overtime a team plays you like this do you feel that you can’t get anything going for you? It’s time to take a new approach and dissect a zone all the way down. It seems so complicated but it’s actually super easy.Let’s figure this problem out.

Every basketball player I know or have played with has had struggles against a 2-3 zone. A lot of teams use it because it’s very effective. It usually causes a lot of turnovers and gives the other team more opportunities to score. Then it causes teams to shoot a lot of three pointers, which is a very low percentage shot. The probability of you making a deep three is around thirty percent compared to a lay up which is around sixty percent. These are a few of the things a 2-3 zone does for opposing teams or my readers.

There are many possible solutions to beating a zone. First you can just shoot the other team out of a zone. If you’re hitting their pointers consistently then they have no other choice then to get out of the zone. Then you can also find open areas and have players sit in those positions to find open shots. Which allows you to exploit their weakness.

The two best options for beating a 2-3 zone is to make plays that beat the zone. Making plays will open up many opportunities and ways to make the defense think and react. Secondly, the best way to beat a 2-3 zone is to get the ball into the middle of the zone. It puts the defense in a bad position. The person with the ball in the middle can make multiple decisions and every player on defense has to react to those decisions. He dictates what goes on in those possessions and if he makes the right plays they most likely will score most of the time.

So you experienced a loss by twenty-five points and it caused you to want to figure things out.But how did you go about trying to figure it out? What did you try that didn’t work? Things must have gone wrong since you’re asking me. So I hope my information has informed you a lot.
