Hi, I’m Nicole Munion, nice to meet you!
I am twenty-two years old, born and raised in a small town outside of Pittsburgh called Oakmont. I am the youngest of four children and the only girl. I am currently a senior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), studying marketing and communications media.
I currently work for IUP as a student marketing representative for the Student Coop Association. I create and post content to multiple social media channels. When new apparel arrives at the store, I am the one who posts about it, via social media. Last summer, I had an internship where I created graphics and used social media management tools (Hootsuite and Buffer) to post scheduled content. I help my dad (who owns a small business) with his social media involvement and also constructed a new logo and business cards for him.
I am very involved with my extracurricular time at IUP. I was elected on to E-board as the events coordinator for the student marketing club. As the events coordinator, I plan and coordinate fundraisers, socials, and community service events. Another club I am part of is Phi Gamma Nu (PGN) the professional business organization at IUP. I partake in fundraisers and community service events for the organization.
I always knew I wanted to be apart of the business world. I have a passion for creativity and expressing my creative mind through art. Social media is a great way to use creativity to promote and advertise a business. In my near future, I plan to apply for careers that are related to marketing and advertising.
