Facebook Images

Tip: Content on your personal timeline will display differently in a user’s newsfeed. Be sure to choose dimensions that show the most important part of your image.

Profile Photo: 180 x 180 pixels

    • It will appear on a desktop as 170 x 170 pixels
    • It will appear on a smartphone as 128 x 128 pixels
    • Photo thumbnail will appear at 32 x 32 pixels
    • The business page image will be cropped as a square

Cover Photo: 820 x 312 pixels

    • Less than 820 x 312 pixels will stretch the image
    • The minimum size requires 400 x 150 pixels
    • It will appear on a smartphone as 640 x 360 pixels

Shared Image: 1200 x 630 pixels

    • Will display in feed at a max width of 470 pixels
    • Will display on a page at a max width of 504 pixels

Shared Link Image

    • Recommended upload size of 1200 x 628 pixels
    • Square photo for link: Minimum 154 x 154 pixels in feed (116 x 166px on page)
